Abstract: Based on the analysis on the hydrochemistry of groundwater and its changing characteristics in Tongyu County, Jilin Province during 1991 to 1995, it is discovered that the hydrochemical composition of the area is complex, with heavy contamination, especially the serious fluorine pollution. The fluorine content in groundwater trends to increase year after year. The contents of major ions in groundwater are closely correlated with precipitation and evaporation.
