Abstract: This paper reviews genetic classification of gold deposits in China. The classifications of gold deposits vary greatly in principle and methods. It can be summed up as follows:(1) by genesis, (2) by source of ore materials, (3) by orehosting rock formation, and (4) by geotectonic setting of metallogenesis.
