LOCAL ENVIRONMENTAL EFFECT BY THE DEGRADATION OF GROUNDWATER SYSTEM IN NORTHEAST CHINA
The degradation of groundwater system in Northeast China is presented as the lowering of water table and reducing of self-cleaning capacity. The local environmental effect is on the increasing of desertification in western Songliao plain, as well as groundwater pollution, land subsidence and collapse in urban areas.
