GEOLOGY AND GENESIS OF THE XIAOLAZIGOU BORON DEPOSIT IN KUANDIAN, LIAONING PROVINCE

Quite a few boron deposits or spots have been found in the Xiaolazigou ore field and surrounding areas in Kuandian County, Liaoning Province. Based on the ore-forming geological conditions, and geochemical and geophysical anomalies, the boron deposits are genetically stratabound volcanic sediment type with reconstruction of metamorphism. The deposits are strictly controlled by the boron-bearing serpentinite of Lieryu formation, Liaohe Group, and influenced by fold structures.
