METALLOGENIC GEOLOGY OF THE BILIHE GOLD DEPOSIT IN SONID YOUQI, INNER MONGOLIA

    • The recently found Bilihe gold deposit is located in the Bainaimiao tectonomagmatic mobilized belt on the northern margin of North China platform. The gold mineralization, occurring in the fractural altered belt between the volcanic complex intrusion and its wall rocks, is closely related to the wallrock alteration of silicification and Kfeldspathization. The orebodies, dipping to southeast, are strictly controlled by the altered belt, in lenticular, sack-like and plate shapes. The ore-forming fluid is in low salinity. The metallogenesis is achieved in low to medium temperature. The genesis of the deposit belongs to subvolcanic-related epithermal type.
