Abstract
The Fanggelawan lead deposit, occurring in the amphibolite plagioclase gneiss and biotite plagioclase gneiss of Archean Taihua group consists of seven ore bodies, which are hosted and strictly controlled in the fractured alteration zone. The morphology and attitude of the orebodies are basically in accord with those of the fault zone. The ore bodies are in veinlet, lenticular or stratoid, with obvious expansion, contraction, branching and merging. Study on its geological characteristics shows that the deposit is of fracture zone altered rock type, belonging to meso-epithermal fluid genesis. The metallogenic process experienced regional metamorphism-migmatization-dike intrusion-meso-epithermal fluid replacement and filling.
