DELINEATION OF METALLOGENIC PROSPECTS BASED ON MULTI-SOURCE REMOTE SENSING DATA: A Case Study of Dong Ujimqin-Mandu Region, Inner Mongolia

    • The geological structures of the study area are interpreted on the basis of ETM+ data. The mineralized alteration information is extracted with spectral angle mapper (SAM) and ASTER data. Based on the previous geological data, combining the distribution characteristics of geochemical abnormal data with the spatially occurrence of rocks in the study area, the geological laws for metallogenesis of typical deposits are summed up to meet the requirements of metallogenic model. Finally, the prospective areas of mineralization in the Dong Ujimqin-Mandu region, Inner Mongolia, are delineated. The results show that the remote sensing mineralization model by combination of ETM+ and ASTER data with geochemical abnormal data is feasible to delineate metallogenic prospect areas. Practice has proved that this method is worthy of further application.
