Abstract
The Shiyaogou molybdenum deposit in Western Henan Province, located in the middle section of Machaoying fault zone, is closely related with the Yanshanian acidic-intermediate granite in metallogenesis. The NWW and NE trending faults are developed in the ore field. The orebodies occur in the contact between buried granite porphyry and its wall rocks. This large-scale buried pluton-controlled porphyry molybdenum deposit is formed by the combination of multiple factors such as unique tectonic setting, plentiful mineral source, intensive fluid process and appropriate host space.
