METALLOGENIC CHARACTERISTICS AND PROSPECTING DIRECTION OF MAIN MESOZOIC METAL DEPOSITS IN EASTERN JILIN AND HEILONGJIANG

    • The eastern part of Jinlin and Heilongjiang provinces is a very important metallogenic belt with great potential in Northeast China. Yanshanian is the most significant metallogenic period of the area. The prospective ore deposits involve two major types. One is veinlet-disseminated Mo deposits and contact metasomatic Fe-polymetallic deposits, which are related to the Early Yanshanian magmatic intrusive activities. The other is epithermal Au (Ag) deposits and porphyryepithermal Au (Cu) deposits, which are connected with Late Yanshanian volcanic eruption-ultra hypabyssal intrusion. The favorable prospecting areas are: 1) the distribution of Early Yanshanian adamellite, granodiorite and granodiorite porphyry in Yichun-Bindong-Jidong; 2) the Late Yanshanian terrestrial volcanic rock distribution in the south of Huma-HeiheXunke-Jiayin; and 3) the Late Yanshanian terrestrial volcanic rock and ultra hypabyssal intrusion distribution in DongningWangqing-Hunchun.
