    DISTRIBUTION AND CONSERVATION OF THE GEOHERITAGES IN ONGNIUD GEOPARK, INNER MONGOLIA

    • The Ongniud Geopark in Inner Mongolia is composed of Bolongke Scenic Area of granite and desert landscape, Qigan Scenic Area of lake landscape, Xar Moron Scenic Area of river landscape, and Denglonghe Scenic Area of grassland. The distribution of the four scenic areas shows one axis with two wings. The geoheritages can be classified into paleontology, water landscape, geomorphologic landscape and geological structure landscape. The meaning of Ongniud geoheritages conservation focuses on economic, social and environmental benefits.
